Unidirectional Airflow Technology.

Part of the secret behind the success of this technology is establishing what scientists refer to as unidirectional airflow between the inhalation zone and the BioGuard 1000 Mini-Mate. The airflow pattern provides a gentle 100 ft/min airstream that reduces the effect of pollutant particles in the inhalation process. This helps prevent the contaminants from crossing the established unidirectional airflow.

    BioGuard 1000 has not been tested on live anthrax spores or other bio-weapons. Do not rely on this product to protect you against lethal and virulent agents! Only government approved biosafety hazmat suits can do that. Significant concentration reductions however have been confirmed under laboratory conditions for test aerosol particles in the most critical respirable size range as anthrax and smallpox (.1 to .4 microns respectively). Also. the BioGuard 1000 high ion output device have been tested under laboratory conditions against anthrax stimulant spores and have achieved up to 40% “kill” of BG spores in one minute in the simulated breathing zone. By comparison it takes much longer to kill anthrax spores by heat and many chemical methods. The anthrax stimulant spores used in these experiments were obtained by our aerosol exposure assessment laboratory at a major university from the U.S. Army, Edgewood Laboratories, at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds (Maryland) and tests were conducted and reviewed by expert micro-biologists who are authorities in this field. These BG spore anthrax stimulants are internationally recognized to be almost identical to anthrax spores and can be handled safely in bio-safety level two laboratories.
